Waiting for the right moment and perfect time is a waste of time. Waiting will make you tired, and you may lose your focus and get distracted. Opportunities are lurking in the shadow, all you have to do is step out and grab them. Remember: Fear kills your spirits and makes you a timid person. The first step is to control your fear and then proceed on the path.
Negative situation:
Facing negative situations teaches us a lot about life and makes us prepare for the next battle of life. There are a lot of opportunities hidden in scary situations that people avoid owing to fear of being caught and pain. The great people went through sufferings and hardships and faced the hard face of life that made them the legend and the strongest men and women. Avoiding negative situations means avoiding life, and a negative situation avoided today should be faced tomorrow with a new face. Now, if someone who has not avoided the nasty problem happened to him yesterday is prepared to face the problem worse than yesterday since he has experienced and faced problems and has not run. Hardships make us strong and by facing tragedies and disasters, we are able to survive and seek opportunities in the abyss of life. Comfort is for the weak, the strong strive in the darkness. “IF ONE IS CONTINUALLY SURVIVING THE WORST THAT LIFE CAN BRING, ONE EVENTUALLY CEASES TO BE CONTROLLED BY A FEAR OF WHAT LIFE CAN BRING.” Things will happen to you in life, now it depends on you how you face those things: through a positive mindset or a negative mindset. If you think like a pessimist, you will see negativity in everything, but if you adopt a positive mindset, you will see a beam of light in the negative things that happen to you, and you would feel reborn and refreshed to face the problem with zeal and zest. Mindset does depend on decision-making, having a clear mindset helps us face the problem and reach a conclusion early, while a foggy mindset confuses us and clouds our judgments.
Illusions:
We live in a society where some people believe that they are more wealthy and have privileges so they don’t deserve to face ugly things in life, and they face a nasty problems, they blame others since they have the illusions that bad things should not happen to them, and they waste their precious time whining and complaining, not thinking about the problem’ root and its dire consequences. By the time, they act, it is too late, and things have got pretty worse. We need to solve the problem as we face it rather than putting the blame on others or waiting for others to help us. We don’t have to get emotional and aggressive rather stay calm to carefully examine the problem.
Fool waits:
When they face a problem or are stuck in a predicament, they wait for others to help them or wait for tomorrow or the day after tomorrow for specific moments believing that things would improve when a specific day or a certain person appears. Things are delayed, and things get spoiled and rotten. It is advised to solve the problem as you face it and reach its depth and seek opportunities in it. Understanding how to get the most out of a precarious situation is a sign of wisdom and maturity.
Be cautious when things are going smoothly:
When life is calm and things are normal and everything is the way we wanted, we fall asleep with the hope that life would continue this way and nothing would happen. We forget that life is unpredictable, and if things are ok today, they can be worse tomorrow. You should be cautious that the worst tragedies happen to us when things are smooth and we forget to focus on the things happening around us, this is when we fall into the abyss of life. Don’t fall asleep when everything is smooth, rather stay active and observe your surroundings and plan for the future, and seek more opportunities.
Seize the opportunity:
People wait for the right moment and right opportunity, and they keep waiting to lose their golden times of youth and energy and before they get what they were after, they are too tired and sick of life. Waiting kills our spirits and moments, opportunities are everywhere around us, and we need to be active and alert to seize them. “According to conventional wisdom, an opportunity is something that exists out there in the world; if it comes our way and we seize it, it brings us money and power.”
The beauty of difficult situations:
We are lazy and tired, and we become super active when we are trapped in a challenging situation or meeting a deadline. We just wonder how our mind works so perfectly, how we focus on tiny details, and we get the most out of it since we know if we don’t get out of it, we are drowned and killed, and life is better than death once it is in our hands and we can save ourselves. Difficult situations give us signals and extract our best qualities in us, we seize the moments to seize the opportunities by playing with fire. “True opportunists do not require urgent, stressful circumstances to become alert and inventive. They operate this way on a daily basis.”
Make the most out of what you have:
Facing hardships is what makes you strong and prepared for your next battle of life. Every negative situation and enemy you face gives you opportunities to get stronger. Facing enemies makes you more aggressive and gives you a strong boost of energy to overcome them, channeling negative emotions to positive ones not just makes you more confident but helps you see things through a clear lens, and you get the most out of the negative emotions. Not every negative emotion is bad if you can channel it into something useful and productive.
Move before you think you are ready:
People wait for the right moment to act due to fear and lack of confidence, it is advised to act before you are ready since the perfect moment does not come, better play with storms and get used to the harsh reality of life, and get the most out of the dangerous situations. You will miss the beauty of life if you stay in your comfort zone. Someday you will face hard times so you should act to be prepared for the next encounter. “Most people wait too long to go into action, generally out of fear. They want more money or better circumstances. You must go the opposite direction and move before you think you are ready.”
Energy and high morale:
Achieving a remarkable goal is not difficult when your energy and morale is high. With confidence, anything is achievable, without high morale and energy, you will likely lose everything instead of achieving. Seize the opportunities with high morale and confidence.
WITHOUT DOUBT, PRINCES BECOME GREAT WHEN THEY OVERCOME DIFFICULTIES AND HURDLES PUT IN THEIR PATH. WHEN FORTUNE WANTS TO ADVANCE A NEW PRINCE…SHE CREATES ENEMIES FOR HIM, MAKING THEM LAUNCH CAMPAIGNS AGAINST HIM SO THAT HE IS COMPELLED TO OVERCOME THEM AND CLIMB HIGHER ON THE LADDER THAT THEY HAVE BROUGHT HIM. THEREFORE, MANY JUDGE THAT A WISE PRINCE MUST SKILLFULLY FAN SOME ENMITY WHENEVER THE OPPORTUNITY ARISES, SO THAT IN CRUSHING IT HE WILL INCREASE HIS STANDING.
—Niccolò Machiavelli
Conclusion:
Avoiding negative situations while waiting for the positive ones makes us lazy and timid in life, and we feel scared when we are trapped in challenging situations. Opportunities are everywhere, and we need to be alert and active to grasp them rather than waiting for the immaculate timing. To be a great opportunist, you should get the most out of what you face in life and thrive ahead with zeal and zest.
